i understand for the b-trim turbos you dont have to shave the block, but for the e-trims, you do. my question is if any of you drag owners, especially on integras, had to cut the fan and shroud, for B and E-trim turbos.
if you had to for both, did you guys just put the turbo in, mark where to cut, then cut, or just take out the whole fan and play with it for a bit? any help would be great, even pics. (dustin's got some good pics)

Didnt have to shave the block but you definately have to cut the fan shroud and the fins. First cut the shroud and then see where the fins hit the turbo and use a pencil to draw exactly how much needs ot be cut. It hasnt affected cooling noticably.

yes, you have to cut a little chunk out of the fan. it's actually kind of annoying. i'm installing it right now, or the past day, and i'm sort of considering just dropping in dual 10"...
you're best bet is to mark where to cut, pull her out and then do it. i should have pics tomorrow, but uhhh... hehe, i don't think you want to follow me on the butchering job i did on my fan.

didnt have to cut much. i just clipped a small piece of the outer cover (not the fan) that was touching the turbo.

I have a t3/t04e and the people that installed it had to shave the block a bit and even after moving the fan over (the passenger fan) like 1" with brackets, they still had to trim it, They didn't half *** anything, its just matter of what they had to do.
Btw I think what manifold you have plays a big part also... I have a rev hard manifold.

i had to cut the fan blade and the shroud on the cooling fan. if you have the money, i suggest getting a fal slimline fan or something similar. Because if you ever have to go back to stock (hopefully not) , those fans are very expensive (unless you get a used one) and they almost cost as much as a fal slimline

I installed a B turbo on my LS and had to trim the block, fan shroud and clip the fans a bit. Nothing major, but I was surprised since i heard the B size is an easy fit. Also, to get the S-pipe to fit for the filter, i had to cut about an inch off on the compressor end of the pipe. (it was hitting the fan motor)
