alittle smoke from the breather???????PLEASE help
I just broke the ringlands on my pistons like a month ago so i put lower comp. forged pistons in. So i dont think i broke the ringlands again. Is it normal for alittle smoke to come out of the breather when you rev up the engine???? before when this happened it was alot of smoke and also oil was coming out and sraying all over my hood. Now there is no oil coming out, but there is alittle smoke, im hoping maybe it is just from the heat of the motor or something. Also my motor is making a knocking noise, but i heard this is normal with forged pistons. Whats wrong with my car?????? Or am i just worrying about nothing? Please help

its prolly because ur rings have not seat properly yet

every once and a while i got a little bit of smoke commign out of my breather when i rev it up high.........i believe its jsut small amounts of burning oil........ either way its been doing that ever since i put the breather on and my JRSC (which was about 10 months ago) and everything is still fine for me....... so i wouldnt worry about it tooo much....

yeah i hope its nothing. im just afrade i burnt a ring or something. Im going to switch to 20w-50 oil this weekend, im wondering if this will make any difference.

like someone said, it may be that your rings have not seated yet.....just take it easy for a while....also you may want to check the pcv valve too.
