AIR-Water Intercooler for Jackson racing Superchargers
I am not to bright on intercoolers at all so i have a question. I am installing a supercharger onto my 01 ITR and have heard a lot about the liquid cooler that JR sells... but have also heard that it is not as efficient as it should be. I was browsing Jackson racings website earlier today and saw that JR makes an Air to Water Intercooler setup for the Mazda Miata. My question is would it be possible to use the intercooler setup for the Miata with my ITR if I were to custom fabricate intercooler piping that would fit the ITR. I am not sure as to all of the parts that go with the Air-Water Intercooler, but it seems to me that if i could get piping that would fit for it, then it would very likely work for my setup. Again I dont know much about the subject so I just figured I would ask. Please dont flame me because im trying to learn. Any help would be appreciated.

not possible to use anything standard on the market since the jrsc bolts directly to the IM on a Honda. The Miata system has the jrsc bolted to the exhaust side, with a pipe routing to the IM. Easy as hell to do an intercooler on that setup.
There is a guy out of Florida that does a jrsc IM conversion incorporating an intercooler. Hopefully someone will chime in his name and you can contact him.

Lotta money, not really worth it...I decided against it with my set up. I would much rather spray a 30 shot instead.

Has anyone actually used the LHT Air-Water Intercooler for the JRSC setup? I have seen this before in the searches ive done, but have not heard of anyone using it yet. It seems to provide the same drop in intake air temps, but i would feel a lot more confident knowing that someone has tested its efficiency and could verify that its definitely worth the 1400 dollars. The biggest concern i have is the engine temps getting to high because i am running around 11-12 psi on the jrsc and for the system on a stock bottom end, thats pushing a lot. Now im looking into cooling systems, and new radiator, thermostat, and intercooler are on the top of my list.

HAHAH sorry boys its a secret... No actually i bought the set up for I think 2gs of LiquidJRSC who use to be on the H-T boards but I haven seen him for the passed few months...
the charger is basically cut in 2 on the inside and welded so the air gets forced out into the spearco water cooler then get cooled and pushed into the manifold side that connects to the intake of the motor...
Simple but damm who ever designed it must have spent soooo much time measuring everything.. it fits perfect but its tight!!!
I know it also fit a SI since it came off that car...
its crazy how you fell the first charge pipe that is super hot and then the return pipe after the intercooler is just warm so you can be sure its working well!
Right now im only at 8PSI intercooled,, which would propably be 11PSI is there was no intercooler.. Eventually i would love to up the boost to 10-11PSI but im just afraid to blow a B18C5 motor (there kinda expensive)
Im still not completly tunned either but im estimating about 240-250WHP at 8PSI but im sure at 11psi tunned I can hit 300whp.....
any more questions?

Yes. You said the blower is basically cut in 2 and the compressed gases are blown out the side. Do you have a close up pic of that or even better the underside of the blower? Id just like to see a visual of how they designed that because there isnt much room for good air flow.
It'd almost be easier to relocate the entire supercharger 3+ inches out from where it sits now so you have more space to run piping.

that looks almost like garbage, looks very not efficient...
and about lht.. . i think he droped his price to 600+ for the intercooler

The plenum is divided into two halves...
blower empties into the side leading to the AIC then the AIC returns air to the other plenum side that leads to the cyl runners.

Call John at LHT Performance 727-344-1800. I have seen his SC IC set up and it is second to none. He uses the same IC cores that Mercedes and Jaguar....Hytech(turbo kit) uses. They are the most efficient IC cores on the market period. If you are looking to upgrade the JRSC then I would consider LHT. You get what you pay for and when its something this drastic would you really be looking for something cheap? not wise.

I dont see how ur calling my set up cheap... its proven to work....
just fell the pipes... or put a gauge to both of them and look at the difference in temp!!
I thought It would get heat soaked as well but hasent wet even in 30 plus traffic!!
