air to water IC, inside/under a gutted dash...
my car is a part-time street car, part time track car. i'm looking to put a stock bumper back on, and keep it more "sleeper-ish". .... instead of the HUGE front mount.
i'd also like the ability to keep my IAT's lower with air to water IC, using ice or dry ice...but no under-hood room is available for this. i was thinking of gutting the dash/glovebox area, and mounting it solidly down there.. it seems that it would fit (havent decided on a size, etc, but the fabrication isnt a problem.).. i could run soildly mounted tubing out through the firewall, and use flexible/silicone couplers to get it to the TB/underhood from-turbo piping... i'd use the popular motorcycle radiator setup/fan for street driving (dont do much high-throttle street driving anyways), but have a tank for ice, and a pocket on the IC for dry ice.. anybody seen any under-dash mounted setups? think its a stupid idea? just looking for opinions.. etc... i've seen it done with musclecars, etc.. i searched, and couldnt find any honda setups though.. combined with a stock bumper, painted hood (instead of CF), etc, and tinted windows to hide the roll cage, i think it could really cut out the "bling", and make the car unsuspecting at the gambler/street race nights at the local tracks. engine is a 400 WHP F22/adaptor/d16trans setup, in a 90 hatchback BTW.. |

if you look in the racecar classifieds i belive its P2R that has a precision unit, mounted under dash.
also, Chuck Seisinger(spelling), Andrew Bermea, and JJolsen all had "in cabin" mounted w/a intercoolers. |

if you dont have passengers, you can go this way:
http://www.rhodescustomauto.com/jsarver31.jpg sorry had to do that. the guys that built my cage, do a lot of mustang blower cars, and thats some of their work. |
no pics but i saw 2 local 8sec. camaros having the ATW IC inside the cabin. under the dash would look badass.
