Default AIR vs. JG intake manifold?

Is the AIR that much of an improvement over the JG for FI setups?

Enough to justify the cost difference?

A search didn't do **** for me because the h-t search feature doesn't work for such short character strings.....

There is also a great comparison in the All Motor forums that TBone did, the AIR manifold flows slightly better but i don't think it offsets the cost difference.

i think it was boosti-hybrid that sawa 57 HP increase just by bolting up the lil' gimmick. bro 57 HP before tuning! is worth the money in mymind over the JG, but thank goodness i dont have any money!

I couldn't find that username anywhere, but I believe I heard something about that before. But didn't the guy go from a stock manifold to an AIR manifold? And wasn't he running something in the neighborhood of like 30 psi of boost?

not sure about NA comparison, might not be that much.
but when your boosting you will see a big difference as you can see in from boostedhybrids tuning. turn up the boost even more and youll see an even bigger increase

There was another guy who posted on an 84MM LS/VTEC with a T3/60-1 he picked up 40-45 WHP with the AIR.

The comparison they did in the All Motor forum had nothing to do with horsepower and such, they were simply tests done on a flow bench to show how the manifolds compared without any variances such as induction setups etc.

This manifold truly shines in a turbo application. I don't think it really performs well on a ALL Motor Application. If I could find a used one I would probably buy it.

Right now I am waitin on the Full-Race manifold, but they have not had time to work on it and finish it for production yet.

i would love to see a test on an extreme all motor app...compared to ITBs and other manifolds.

On my stock GSR I made 167.8hp with the AIR manifold.... the manifold was the only thing that was not stock on that motor, including the header. Not only that but when I got a wideband I saw I was running at 15.8/1 afr above 6500 rpm.
