ahobbs-quest for more "powa" on a GSR..cheer me on
Well mostly everyone knows i made 415 on my stock GSR. I think im infatuated with making power on stock motors kinda like walking the edge of the grand canyon.
I have to give major props to the following-(no order)
Tony1 for making me good numbers last time and future numbers to come and parts and motor work.
BnRFittings for the coolant and fuel set up and catch can.
Watts Machine Shop
Peakboost Ken hooking it up on the turbo
Mike laskey for the hook up on the Springs and retainers
Phil spoolin performance-mounts
Wil-Exospeed front end and custom street wheel setup. Car wouldnt be the same without this
Robert @ Golden Eagle
Lighting Motorsports-Big help, thanks Tom for everything.
Omniman-for the clutch master cylinder
Clutch_kik-paint and body work.
Skunk2- all the new suspension and misc parts
Hickam Series Fabrications-8point roll cage
These companies/people did not have to take care of me but they did and I would endorse them anyday. Everyone has went above and Beyond.
I decided to spend a lot of unnecessary money to change parts on my set up.
First was the turbo.thanks Ken Peak (Peakboost) and B N R Fittings for the coolant lines
went from the T3/67 .63ar turbine housing to a GT35R .82 turbine housing
I did the switch because I did not need a 67mm turbo and i didnt want a GT30 just incase i decided to make more power later. The power band would be a little better with the 35R
Then I decided to toss the stock GSR cams and go with CTR/ITR cams
Thanks Mike M. (Mike@t1)
(i know one is a B16 cam I grabbed the worng one when i took the picture and i wasnt taking anymore while they were in the car.
Things just seemed to go deeper and deeper, then I decided to go ahead and put supertech springs and ti retainers in. (changed valve seals while i was in there) Thanks Mike Laskey
don't have that pic.
Then I got some really cool parts in. Well I have ID 1000's and running E85. tony1 is my tuner and advised me to push a little more base pressure to reach what im trying to do so here it goes.
I went ahead and bought a Bosch044 SS lines fittings relay everything I will let the pictures speak. Still intank walbro255
I wanted to do this set up with my stock fuel line so I tapped where the stock FPR with a 1/8NPT to -6
and the fuel inlet is a -6 to 12x1.25
the bracket that comes in the kit is kick ***. probably one of the sickest brackets i've seen.
a lot for a little power but if i choose to up grade it's just the block, fuel system is done for me.
Im really happy and excited to get my car re-tuned and I know T1 will produce great results. Dyno day is set for may 22 or 29th...lol depends on my schedule.
The goal is to make the same power at a lower psi first. My guess is i can make 415-420ish around 13psi.
After that, we will see what the stock motor likes..lol maybe 460-470? :shrugs:
stay tuned for dyno results. If you guys see anything i can change now while I'm at it lmk, besides the bottom end..lol
Hopefully we wont pop it but if so I guess the built block will go in.
there will be plenty of updates on the install and how to's for the user who aren't sure how to install a kit such as this.
EDIT: DYNO DATE IS SET FOR FEB 26 2010 SHOOTING FOR MID 600 ON C16. SIMPLE EASY POWER

Stepping up the game. Everything looks good. B&R coolant kit is a breeze to install and works great. Cant wait to see some results.

Good Luck, its either going to make you happy..... or make a mess on the floor, either way I am in for the results. I might have to grab one of those brackets for my 044, looks simple and pimp at the same time.

Damn...looks like you're getting pretty serious with this stock block. That fuel setup is sweet, but a hair overkill for this...you must be plannin something bigger . By the way, my Teg finally runs GOOD LUCK!

So I wanted to make more. The fuel set up is over kill for the stock motor but not for a built block.
I'm already metally prepared and financially ready if it pops. But if it works why put the built motor in.
See my point.

I was in the middle and had to either be happy with what i made or upgrade becuase of E85.
So I wanted to make more. The fuel set up is over kill for the stock motor but not for a built block.
I'm already metally prepared and financially ready if it pops. But if it works why put the built motor in.

yeah im down with the married life too. its not to bad and i still get to be a little happy buying parts. i cant wait to put my turbo kit on and see what i make. im not going for rediculous power out of my stock motor like hybrid but hey its still a stock B18C and i want it to be a safe DD at like 300whp.
