I have an extra D series motor and was thinking about building a cheap turbo setup. My friend has a new set of .50 overbore SOHC VTEC pistons that have been swain coated and would give them to me for next to nothing. I know the stock d-series rods are crap and would like to replace them.

Eagle rods allow the piston pin to "float". The stock rod does not. It holds the wrist pin in place via an interference fit. So, with Eagles, you need pistons that have clips in them to prevent the pin from moving out.

I am not sure how you would accomplish this using stock pistons on Eagle rods?
