Default Aftermarket Oxygen Sensor Harness connection question

1992 eg hatch w/ b20z bottom end (NPR pistons, eagle rods) gsr head (dual valve springs stock cams) w/ ebay turbo kit. i bought the car as is and it blew up bc there wasnt an 02 sensor plugged into the harness. they had it screwed into the exhaust to prevent a exhaust leak but it wasnt connected to the harness. my quesiton is what harness did they use for the swap and shouldnt i buy an 02 sensor for when i get it back running?

Default Re: Aftermarket Oxygen Sensor Harness connection question

most turbo setups do not utilize the oem oxygen sensor. you would typically run a wideband sensor to a gauge for tunning purposes which is somewhat optional as the tuner can use their own wideand to tune it.

Being that it uses ebay parts theres a pretty good chance that its not even tuned properly which is very bad. most ;ike;y this is the reason it blew up.

You need to rebuild the motor, get an EMS and have it tuned properly and install a wideband, while your at it trash the ebay parts
