AEM's In-Tank 320 LPH Fuel Pump Released

Thought I would share information regarding AEM's new High Flow In-Tank Fuel Pump. AEM's results are astonishing with a single in tank pump capable of support 1000hp, of course horse power capability is ultimately dependent on fuel hose diameter, and system electrical voltage and amperage capabilities. We have tested this pump on our 724whp Civic Wagovan with impeccable results. I must say, I am very impressed with this pumps capability! AEM’s High Flow In-Tank Fuel Pump is designed for high performance naturally aspirated and forced induction EFI vehicles. It delivers reliable performance and high volumes of fuel flow for roughly half the cost of comparable performance fuel pumps. $110 not bad. The only problem is for guys like me running e85. I'm about to max out my dual Walbro 255's and was looking to upgrade

The other factor is being that E10 is more prevelant than you might realize. This coupled with the fact that it may vary well increase in the future... ;)

The pump is compatible with E85 however the life of the pump may decrease due to the lubricating properties of E85 vs gasoline.

Im not sure but I do know that I have seen many failures of the regular 400.

While this topic is up since id like to be making the switch to E85 soon. What makes the Walbro 450(E85 ) more compatible for E85. What parts are changed and how does it differ from The walbro 400.
Post #5. It looks like they sealed the wires, so possibly e85 was eating out the wires making them to fail? I plan on trying out one of the "E85" capable walbro 400s next year. |

Yea i saw that the wires were changed. However the other response was it failed due to lubrication issues...That is contradicting to just a wire/sealing change. You would think there were other changes if that was indeed the root cause of the failure (lubrication issues.)
