AEM Wideband and S300
I am a little confused.
I have an AEM wideband controller and guage that does linear analog output from 0-5v. I have been told that hondata will only read from 0-~3.8v so I can't use the full scale of my O2 sensor. Is this true? or is this old info? It seems the PLX does 0-5v so why would the AEM 0-5v be a problem? Also this is S300 in a P72 ECU
Can I just wire my white 0-5v signal wire into D14 (O2) and use my wideband as the regular 02 and not run a narrowband? Is this somehow a problem?
Also what pins can I use (if any) for +12v and Ground for the unit? I would like to splice these connections into my OBD2a-OBD1 harness converter instead of hacking any factory harness wires. This is in a 98' Prelude by the way.
Thanks

Re: AEM Wideband and S300 (LudeLooker)
i have the same wideband, and have been searching for this answer for a long time,
only im using crome.
the ability to use it instead of the narrowband,
and the ability to use closed loop with the uego as the primary 02.

Re: (LudeLooker)
i believe that you take the white wire from your aem and splice into your factory harness where the stock narrow band o2 used to be....Atleast thats how i think mine was done. Either way we got the aem wideband to work with the s300.

Posted there as well and haven't been able to get a straight answer
I just need to know if I can use the full 0-5v range on pin D14 (as opposed to the 0-3.83v that seems to be the limit previously thought) OR in order to use the full 0-5v output do I need to use ELD pin D10?

Re: (LudeLooker)
if you want to be able to run in closed loop and still have wideband functionality don't tap your aem into the o2 sensor line. Input it into the ELD or EGRL pin. I have a p28 with s300 and I had my wideband input on the ELD and EGRL, I have to say I get better resolution and have to input less of a voltage offset when using EGRL. Doing it this way you would still keep your narrowband (stock o2) in place and have to weld a bung into your downpipe for the the wideband o2 sensor.
