AEM ems and hondata questions
I have the funds to go either AEM or HONDATA. which one should I go with?
oh, its for a b16 turbo'd crx. also in the future I plan on rebuiding engine with low compression and running tons of boost.
do I need to convert to OBD1 in order to run AEM like hondata?

Personally, I would go talk to your nearest tuner and see what he recommends. If your confident enough to tune it yourself I'd go with the aem. Just make sure you spend time reading the manuals so you understand what your doing. Also I think aem just released a box for the obd-0 cars. Models number is 1080.

Re: (88crxhfb16)
Had to burn chips, no IAT correction, had that slight hiccup at 3500rpms...just to name a few.
I have never had a problem with the AEM EMS, and it has been very easy to use.

You couldn't spot sarcasm if it was beating you on the head with a baseball bat

Ditto. If you have the funds, go EMS and don't look back

Actually that would be ubercrap, AEM is a lotta bang for a lot of buck Definitely worth it though

Well it doesn't sound like you searched at all. Come on man what kind of question is "AEM vs Hondata"...
They will both obviously get the job done and have been proven to work well. Can't go wrong with either one. I doubt you will be tuning yourself, so you might as well go with the cheapest option. AEM has more features and unless you are a serious drag racer you probably won't need it. Hondata has all the options you will probably need, but it's really up to you. AEM is a stand alone ECU. Hondata is just software you use for burning chips to put in your socketed Honda ECU. They are both obd1 systems.
What is your question though? So you want somebody to break down what each fuel management system does? How it works? etc... It's all been covered man, just search a little and don't ask such broad questions.
