AEM/DC Civic Si pics and Dyno

We already showed the vehicle at LA SEMA IAS so I thought we would post a few pictures and dyno of the car now and I will keep updating as other things change on the car. This is at 5PSI.

Nice! So AEM is making a PnP system for the k-series stuff? How are you guys dealing with the VTC system in the software?

Rtype16 05-13-2004 12:46 PM

Re: (boosted hybrid)

We already have that all sorted out in the software the biggest thing is the multiplexing that honda does. We are still working on the A/C switch and coolant gauge as they go thorugh the multi plexing device.

that manifold is badass. how does it fill on the highway?

Rtype16 05-13-2004 01:03 PM

Re: (G"UNIT)

Feels really good. Nice power band no lag whatsoever. Doesn't seem fast because the power is nice and gradual the power isn't an on off switch.

wow car looks great. Nice numbers too! That pain makes a world of difference.

Re: (racinskittle)

upon inspection, the top curve does not have a hp/trq intersection at the same point as the bottom one, why is this? Is the scaling different?

Re: (94goldjungsr)

nice torque curve

nice set up! car looks great! is the garret turbocharger a CARB legal one?

Smokinsax 05-14-2004 01:42 AM

that manifold is pretty trick...wish that kind of power came stock in that thing. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif

nice , boosted now . I was hanging with DC and company at Nopi when they brought it down. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif , sick looking car

Re: AEM/DC Civic Si pics and Dyno (itr206)

Yes they should I am not really sure why they didn't cross at 5252 gonna have to go look at the settings on the dyno. I have another print out in front of me of the same two passes just in a diff format and they cross in the right place just this graph doesn't I would post this other graph, but you can't really see the lines and it has no printout of the numbers. The turbo is from garrett and it is the one used in some of there CARB legal kits however this is not one of them.

Yes they should I am not really sure why they didn't cross

when you overlay two or more plots, the scaling will be altered...

Okay they shouldn't be, but the numbers are true. B18CXr you must be speaking from experience since we both have the same type of dyno.
