Default aem cai or short ram for supercharger?

Hey guys i did a search but didnt find what i was looking for. I used to have the bypass valve so my intake is already cut in half . Currently im running the cai but if the short ram will be more benificial than i could convert it in less than a minute. If anyone has dyno plots or experience your help is greatly appreciated.

short ram and make sure your filter get enough fresh air. Put also some kind of heat shield around the air-filter.

A short intake is better for top end power!

most of the JRSC guys preferred the short ram since it yielded higher dyno numbers.

In cool weather the short intake tube works better, the throttle response and peak HP went up.

But in hot texas weather the short ram caused considerable ammounts of hesitation from the higher intake temps.

The comtech icebox fixed both these problems and the 3" pipe diameter works much better for an SC setup.

-------

The DC 4-2-1 Header is fine for a JRSC setup. I put out 230hp @ 8.5psi, with nothing but a Comptech Icebox, DC Header, Test Pipe & Thermal 2.25" Exhaust. Don't believe the hype, the kami may work well on Endyns 25psi SC ITR (erm, erm) setup but if you already have a DC I would stick with it.

If you want a CAI with a supercharger, the AEM is the wrong one - the smaller pipe diameter WILL hurt you. The Iceman I believe is a full 3" (unsure how this performs in the real world) and the Comptech Icebox is also an excellent choice.

How much is the Comptech icebox? Maybe i can keep an eye out and pick up a used one in the classifides. Well my aem is 2.75 is getting a whole new 3" intake worth it. I mean if its 1-2 hpower then i would rather save my $$. Unless someone wants to trade.
