Default Advice Needed: Turbine blades damaged. Will it boost?

Got a precision gt3071r for $120 from a good friend. CHRA and bearings are fine and so is everything else. Im wondering what any experts would say about the pics Ive attached. I know they are low quality but im trying to see if they are too damaged to actually produce boost on a built d series.

If not, does anyone know a reputable place to rebuild this and an approx. repair cost?

TIA

That's done for. Stick a fork in it. You can't even clip the turbine blades and reshape them to be any good. Since it is a steel ball-bearing CHRA, that would require the shaft would be removed, and not rebalanced again, you got yourself a pretty good paper weight.
Looks like Foreign Object Debris did the damage. Your friend probably got the $120 and went to the club with it.

the housings are worth the $120 anyways so you didnt really get shafted. you can call garrett about a cartride exchange which will be cheaper then buying a new turbo

Yea i thought about that when buying it, plus I was trying to help and friend who was trying to get out of the honda/car game.

Ill look for a new CHRA or just sell the housings and go with something else. I thought I might give this a try for the price. Thanks for the advice.

Yeah I have a turbine that looks almost exactly like that. It's a goner. Won't make boost at all. Not even worth the effort to install for ***** n giggles. It might disintegrate itself trying to spin 100,000RPM.

Def. try the CHRS exchange tho. That is a badass turbo.

True, but the price doesn't go down that much from a new unit.
