i'm going to add a page for the fastest fwd street cars on dot, non bias ply, radials. the rules are as follows:

1. 235/60/15 will be the largest size allowed. the cars must meet all other street class rules(interior, dash, glass, no wheelie bars, etc.....).

2. they must be DOT approved. non bias ply.

3. to be on the list, i must know the size and make of the tire and your run must be reasonable proven by witnesses, done at an event, or somehow otherwise believable*.

*if you feel you must "create" a timeslip just to be on this list, you have serious problems and i suggest seeing a therapist immediately.

your 1/4 mile time must be faster than 12.49 to make the cutoff. once i have about 30 people, the cutoff will get faster.


please post any info and photos you have or send them to jinxproof96@adelphia.net

this weekend will be the first time this event is run and i would like to have the page finished before then.

its funny. everyone here on honda tech wants 600 to the wheels in their street cars. but with only 300 to the wheels, you could easily run 12.50's or better in a 2500 lb car. yet its pretty unbelievable how many people haven't run their car at all or have no idea how fast they are.

i know there are some that go to the track......WHERE ARE YOU????

Allen Sturgeon "hondahvn" ran a 12.1 i belive, but i'll get with him to get the specifics. I know it was on 225/bfg's and he went quicker and quicker as he turned the boost down!

thanks tony. i have him on the list actually, but the only info i have from him is 12.0? @12? i'd like a more accurate time and even the 60' and the weight of the car/driver as well. thanks for looking out.

Yeah, I thought is was 12.0, but didn't want be wrong in that direction and people get all pissy about it. I'll have him get on here and give you the specifics.

so far i have 12 people on the list. 9 of them are 12.09 or quicker. because theres only one sanctioning body running this class, i'll add vr6's, probes, basically any fwd car that fits within the specs of the nopi rules. no pushrods, 4 and 6cyl only. full street cars and i have to have the tires they ran on. i'll put someone on the list even if they did it a year or two ago, just as long as its believable/verifiable.

Chamois' car went 12.1 @ 118 on 14" Nittos. I think she still has the timeslip somewhere in here car journal.

jason, check with her or point me in the right direction if you could. i had her running 12.0?, but 12.1? is possible as well. i'd like to get her accurate time and mph as well as a photo of the car for the site and weight. anymore info would help. her last name to.

yeah, the idea is that it takes a "better than average" car to be on these lists.

radial list is 12.49 or quicker for now.

slicks all motor is 12.39 or quicker for now. this will go to 12.29 or quicker in a month or two i am sure. i'd like to see 25 cars in the 11's at least before i make it 11.99 or quicker. (there are 18 so far)

slicks forced induction will stay 10.99 or quicker for the rest of this season.

no doubt.... vic is gonna run his car when it gets out of the paint shop im sure.....

then hopefully Soundeffects will buy some axles and slicks and a cage and take his 600 whp daily driver to the track...

looks good, if you get a chance double check the tire that you have listed for Cunha's 11.6... it says nitto and im pretty sure it was a bfg.
