Default ACT Street Disk and HD Pressure Plate.

How much will it hold? I plan on boosting my Y8 to 300-350whp and know I will evenutally need to goto a 4 or 6 puck with Xtreme PP, but will this clutch hold for awhile or is it going to slip like crazy? I had it up to 200whp 210wtq on nitrous and it was holding really well.

Ran my HDSS into the 11.s and it held up well. It finally started to slip after a entire season with slicks. held up well past my expectations.

I think it also depends alot on driving style.

at least upgrade to the six puck. thats what i had for quite a while and it held with no probs...but i never drive on slicks or with real good traction so the tires will let go well before the clutch

Do it right the first time, you'll have to upgrade later anyways. Just spend the extra $30-35 and get the xts/ss now. Why buy a clutch only to upgrade it later, makes no sense to me .

My answer to this question is to go with the 6 puck and heavy duty pp . Some people would really not go with it but I live in the NYC area and drive my car in and out of traffic. I cruise around town with this car as well. That disc with that pp is a good combo for a street driven high performance civic. Right now I'm making 289whp and 219 torque. I plan to get 500whp by the end of the summer and that clucth will still be in the car. But that's my .02

Because I already have the street and HD in the car now and it's BEEN in there for 7-8 months now. I don't want to have to change it again until wears out.

Okay i wasn't aware you currently had the Hd setup, with this being said I would keep driving it as is, and when you upgrade and turn the boost up, upgrade your clutch. I think ACT rates the Hd/ss at around 240 ft lbs, but i've seen people throw a little more at it and it hold fine. Make the power first and then see how your current clutch handles it, and go from there.

That's what I was thinking. I haven't even started boosting yet. This was going to be a big boost project to begin with. I'm figuring maybe around 300 ft lbs is what I'll have. It would be nice if it held up for awhile.
