ACT HC5-HD00 (stock disc) vs. HC5-HDSS (street disc)?
I'm looking to buy a clutch for around 200-250 for my SOHC (goal: 220whp max). I can get the ACT HDSS clutch kit (Heavy Duty Pressure Plate w/street disc) for $292, OR I can get the HD00 kit (Heavy Duty pressure plate w/stock disc) for $225. Those prices are for the whole kit, with pilot and throwout bearings, alignment tool and pressure plate/disc.
Which route should I go? What's the big difference between the stock disc and street disc? I've heard that Honda's weak points lay in the pressure plate, and not in the disc at all so what's wrong with an upgraded pressure plate only, or the heavy duty plate w/ a stock replacement disc? Why is an upgraded disc necessary?
Yes, I'm cheap, broke and in college. Sue me.

Personally I would just go with the ACT HDSS clutch kit. It is good for around 240 ft/lbs. Always get better than what you need. I bought the HDSS kit and now I'm likely going to need an XTSS. What pisses me off the most about that is having to pull the transmission again.
