About to sleeve block, not sure what size??
I'm about to get my b18c1 block sleeved. I want to go 83MM but something is telling me to stay 81MM to play it safe?! I'm looking to make around 600+-WHP i'll be using a GT3582R and dont plan on going above 30PSI! will i be okay with that much boost on a 83mm bore? what are the pro's n con's of this over 81??
Would u guys suggest o-ringing the block? (i get mixed opinion on this)
Lastly if i do decide to go 83 i'd be using a golden eagle HG, has any1 had any problems with them??
thanks

I'd say go 83mm. There's nothing saying that a sleeved motor at 83mm will be unsafe. For that kind of power, I'd go with the biggest displacement you can!
I wouldn't O-ring the block either. But that's just me.

I'm sure there's nothing "unsafe" with going 83mm with 30ish PSI, i'm more or less worryed about having head gasket problems since there will be less material between cylinders than if i went with 81..
And yea i'm leaning more towards not o-ringing the block!!

you can go up to 85mm on most sleeved blocks with turbo so 83mm you will have no problems at all with the block or the head gasket .
