Default About to install a Hondata s200, have 2 littles question about ditching the FMU and timing

We will be installing a s200 w/ boost into my friends 98 GSR tomorrow and I have one question regarding his existing FMU. What all do we need to do to remove it from the system? It's no longer needed with the Hondata, correct?

Also, his timing is retarded, should we put it back to Zero? The Hondata has a basemap tailored to his setup so I'm assuming the car should start and run fine without going into boost until we can get it to the dyno on Sunday?

Thanks for the help guys.

Return the fuel system to stock except for injectors.

When you get to the dyno, set the timing to stock and tune from there.
