99 Turbo SI breaks up

Default 99 Turbo SI breaks up

I just installed a Rev hard turbo kit for my 99 si.

the car idles and runs great until it hits vtec then it breaks up really bad,

i am using a missing link that come with the kit
i have no boost controller so i am getting like 6 psi

i also have skunk2 stage1 cams

anyone have any ideas?

What are your plugs gapped at?

If your running an un tunable management designed for the stock output of your motor w/the turbo, the cams will throw that off and you'll be running lean.

you are probably running extremely lean since you dont have nay bigger injectors and those cams are all about air, and really not recommended for turbo apps.

i am running the fmu that came with the kit

i am running stock plugs too

i am getting colder plugs today

The Problem IS your running to hot of a plug and the GAP is too large.
Gap um to .30 and you should be good
You did install the inline fuel pump correct?
I recommend ditching that ASAP for a warblo 255HP intank

i agree i thought they would send a walbro with the kit
and yes we installed the pump the right way

or at least shoots out the end that goes to the fuel rail

do we have to do anything special with the wiring on the fuel pump?

ok i changed the stock plug gap to .030 it made it better but still breaks up when it hits vtec
