Default 99 Civic, Boosting LS b18b1:Build Thread

hey everyone this is just one thread im going to start as a build thread as i move long building my jmotor for boost. not knowing much about boosting i figured im going to put it here cause while im boosting this motor im going to have numerious amounts of questions...

so here is what im working with

99 Civic EX
Engine: B18b1 out of a 98 RS integra
ECU: p75

I have basic bolt on's intake, DC header, and i have a AEM non adj. FPR. i have an adj. one when i decide to upgrade the fuel system later down the road..

this is what i know so far...
I have an LS motor that loves boost...and im planning on buying a kit from a buddy here within a week, but doesn't come with a manifold..this kit is what you can call a ebay kit...but its going to work for me for now because as i move along im going to upgrade part but part.

so first off do i need a boost controller, would you rec? and a guage?

what is max psi i can run with all stock?

more to come..

do not buy an ebay kit, it will cost you more in the long run,,,

manifold
turbo
intercooler
FMIC piping
BOV
BOV Flange
Wasgate
dumptube
downpipe
hondata or some time of mangement
injectors
boost gauge
boost controller
oil line kit
3 inch exhaust
clutch-flywheel
and labor
theres probably more
everytime you "upgrade" a part you will need a retune

ok will i just want to boost it and built off of it, really. i mean do i have to do a bunch of internal work too? or does it just depend on how many pounds i want to push. i know the compression ratio is like 9:1 for the LS motor should i keep it or try and lower it down to 8?

manifold-whats good?
turbo-greddy....
intercooler-how big, and whats good?
FMIC piping-wtf is this?
BOV-HKS
BOV Flange- what?
Wasgate-what is this actually?
dumptube-how big?
downpipe-how big?
hondata or some time of mangement-it will be hondata, can i run a gsr ecu to my LS motor with boost? and what series should i get?
injectors-how big?
boost gauge--duah
boost controller-greddy
oil line kit-prices and should i upgrade my oil pump too?
3 inch exhaust-
clutch-flywheel-i have a stage 2, any good Flywheels out their
and labor---doing it my self..learning..

fmic (front mount intercooler)
bov flange is the flange that connects the bov to the intercooler piping
down pipe probaly 2.5"
you can run your gsr but your going to need to get a basemap
your oil pump should be fine
