99 accord converted to obd1- do i run 2 O2 sensors or just 1????....help please
guys i am finshing my install and dont know if i should be running one or two o2 sensors. I purhcased the conversion harness to convert the car to obd1 for better tuning. i have an o2 plug at the bottom of the dump tube(turbonetics kit) and also on my cat converter. DO i keep both even though they are only a foot away from one another, or do i use just one??

OBD1 only uses one primary O2 sensor. You have a bung in the dump tube?

yeah i have one in the down tube. the previous owner gave me the o2 sensor that he had with the kit still screwed into it. Do i use just that one and eliminated the one in the stock cat converter? Should i eliminate my cat converter all together since the car is going to be obd1????

local shop told me today that i dont have to run any o2 sensor once i run the car obd1 since the turbo is going to make the o2 sensor run a check engine light. They told me that i should just plug up the bungs. does that make sense??

you just need the one in the cat.converter, use the other one in the down pipe for a wideband or just plug it up.

well i pluged a single wire o2 sensor, 19.95 from autozone, into the bung that was in the turbo manifold, for a direct connect to my air/fuel ratio gauge. I figured that i would eliminate the bung in the cat, by eliminating the cat all together since the turbo will burn it out anyhow, and just use the bung in the down pipe for my o2 sensor reading. Does that sound good?!?!???

Down pipe or dump tube? Two completely different things. If you have it in your dump tube....thats not going to work. If it is in the dp, that is good. That a/f gauge you have is pretty much worthless. You might as well as sell it or give it away. Only real way to do it is with a good wideband....PLX, Innovative, etc.
What are you doing for engine management? Tuning?

my bad, i get the two terms mixed up. yeah the the o2 sensor is going in the dp, down pipe. as for tuning the car, it is converted to obd1 on a p28 ecu that is going to be tuning at "All About Performance" off of route 55 in south jersey. debating on whether to use a boost controller to have the option of two different boost setting. Being that the car is only going to be used for fun and weekend driving, i dont know if that is worth it.
