Default 95 Civic...should i go turbo?

I got a 95 Civic lx, non vtech. I dont even know if they make a turbo for my car, but if they do, would it be worth it? I only have about $1000 or so to spend. If i get a turbo, dont i also need an intercooler, turbo timer, boost controller, blow off valve, and all that stuff? Should i try for a turbo? Anybody got any other ideas to get some serious hp for around $1000? NEED HELP! thanks

first off, its VTEC...not VTECH (thats the phone)
second, the site that Burke gave you is VERY helpful and informative...you need to know do a lot of research and set goals for yourself as to what kind of power you're looking to get...i've been reading up/asking questions on that site, as well as HT and other places for almost a year and half, close to 2 years, and i still dont everything down...and yes you do need all those parts you listed as well as the oil feed/return lines...BUT you left out a VERY important factor...FUEL management...theres numerous kinds of set ups that you can use from an FMU, to afc/smc using 450cc injectors or uberteg's chip, etc...my best advice for you and i know a lot of people would agree with me, is before you start dumping all that money into boost (VERY ADDICTIVE), is set a goal that you want to reach, read up and ask questions on how to go about it, then go from there...if you spend the time/research on it now, you'll save money in the future...just ask around this forum cus theres a lot of people that know their stuff around here, and i'm one of the ones that STILL learning...good luck
