95 Civic Ex 3psi turboed, really sluggish before boost, really sluggish under boost
95 Civic Ex 3psi turboed, really sluggish before boost, really sluggish under boost this began happening about 2 weeks ago. This turbo kit has been on my car for 1 month. I have an upgraded fuel pump, and new fuel filter.
I put the new fuel filter on 3 days ago. On the night that I installed the new fuel filter the car ran perfectly, the day after, it was back to being sluggish again.
Please help.

It probably feels sluggish partly because the 3psi isn't quite making up from that turbo sized restriction in your exhaust...now why it feels more sluggish on boost i dunno.

kind of related... at 3psi, my car actually had more low end then when i had my 4-1 kamikaze headers. the high end was a lot better because of the extra torque. make sure you don't have any exhaust leaks and that you have proper fuel maagement. 12:1 fmu, inline fuel pump, missing link. or vafc 450dsm injectors, or standalone engine management.

When I try to just stomp the gas, the car doesn't even respond at first, then it studders and finally begins to accelerate slowly.
The car has even shut off before, while driving and I had to restart it. Took about 10 seconds for it to turn over finally.
I don't drive it hard now since this problem. I put a Vortec FMU on since the original post and it has not helped. I also get black smoke out the exhaust and then white smoke, any ideas?
By the way, my car is not sluggish because of the 3psi, my car was mad beastly before and whatever the problem is now, it is causing the car to run really shitty.
