92 Civic - H22a - JRSC - It can't be done, or can it?
Just a teaser... Sorry just thumbnails, but clicky clicky and the picture shall get bigger.
I have about 50 more pictures that I'm to lazy to host right now. Just for the haters here on H-T that said it was a waste of time, or it wouldn't fit.
Sadly it fits like it belongs there. Hood webbing is perfectly offset for the pulleys. Boost/resevior is placed perfect to mis the pulleys.
Only fabrication, moving the brake prop valve and 4 of the lines. That is absolutely it.
Setup:
92 DX Hatch
0BD1 H22a - HMotors
M2B4 Trans
Hasport Mounts - Axles
1 Off LoveFab 4-2-1 Header 2.5" collector. 2.5" back.
Precision 820cc low impedance injectors.
JDM P30 Ecu - S300J
H22 JRSC setup.
AEM Hybrid Intake
AEM rail and regulator (don't really know why just because I guess made install easier)
Walbro GSS-342 pump (255lph)
Step Colder NGK Coppers
Stock Internals
BISIMOTO Intake Gasket (thanks Bisi)
Motorvations 9psi-ish Pulley
Ran on E85 (always E85, apparently the supplier does not care that my WRX won't start below 30*F, so he continues to deliver 85% ethanol mixtures, rather than comply and supply winter mix's. Hope the H starts better when cold.) Has been tested on a weekly basis.
Last but not least, block heater to hopefully defy a bit of the horrible cold start issues.
And my personal favorite, Hurst T Handle Grip and Rip shifter (Oh yea, makes shifting faster than lighting)
Will be tuned at Lowes Performance in Alton IL.
Not really set on any numbers, its a DD. Just wanting a bit of fun for the daily commute and can't beat burning a little corn booz on the way.
Comments are welcome, don't hate because frankly I don't care. The other Civic with the H is getting a 60trim Garret bolted up, so not looking for 120+ mph trap speeds, just a bit of low end torque fun out of the little 2.2L. Should be about 1 of 2 or 3 EG Civic H22's with a JRSC that I've ever seen/read/heard about...

Will have some more up tonight. I'm hoping the same, good low end and a bit of top end over n/a.
E85 should go a long long way over 93 octane with the charger.
Probably going to endyne late next fall for some work.
Now, if only I knew a good place to find traction...

Re: 92 Civic - H22a - JRSC - It can't be done, or can it?
It fits like it belongs there. I have some errands to do at the moment but I'm going to take a few more pictures with the header on tonight and get some posted up.
Right now we are going to have to do a little modification to the drivers side Hasport mount, we cut the bolt down but the belt is about 1/16" from hitting the nut. We are going to countersink the mount and not run a lockwasher and just run loctite. We are going to have to take the edge off the mount too, but considering thats very very very minimal.
We are looking for minimum clearances of 1/4" from anythiing. So far so good.

Re: 92 Civic - H22a - JRSC - It can't be done, or can it?
We've spent quite a bit of time discussing upgrade issues. Since the m62 is very limited, EVEN after Endyne gets done with tit (they make a higher efficiency limit, making us able to spin it faster, but thats really about it.)
We've really been talking about an M90 or 92 (forget which one) but they do not use the same flange, exit as the m62... So upgrading is not easy for this setup..
But I think he can live with 275/250 or a bit more...

Re: 92 Civic - H22a - JRSC - It can't be done, or can it?
Talk to rmcdaniels, he's hooked up with Magnuson, who's designing a nosecone to reverse the M90. Given how your JRSC uses a plate that bolts on the top, it would be very easy to convert. Fab a lower plate, inlet, and line up the pulley. It probably wouldn't cost much more than Endyne to do their work.
I know if you got the new M90 (MPX90?), Magnuson could verse the nosecone, as its symetrical, unlike the M90. That would also be easy to add.

Re: 92 Civic - H22a - JRSC - It can't be done, or can it?
Just a little update...
The bastard child was dropped off in Chi-Town today...
Long story - But I think fate brought us to the right place.
Was delivered to Mikey at Pro Function for the super tune today.
Mikey seemed like an awesome guy. Love to walk into a shop were I am going to drop some cash and feel comfortable. Nothing beats that.
Hopefully if things go right and it doesn't scatter on the dyno (haha) we should have some results sometime early next week (if not no hurry really).
Everything seemed to come together real nice (other than the original tuner having some issues and not being able to get to it anytime soon)- Read my previous statements -
I got it up and running Wednesday night on the trailer let it warm up (never got warm after 45 min of idling.....) Used my n00b toooon3r sky11z
Final list of modifications:
Obvious - JDM h22 M2b4 lsd trans.
JRSC motorvations 9psi pulley
Bisi Intake Manifold gasket
Precision (lucas) Low Impedance 880's
AEM Fuel Rail
AEM FPR
Hasport mounts and leakin' *** axles
Super 14" American Racing wheels with the cheapest 195/60's we could find
AEM Hybrid h22/eg Ram air/Cold Air custom cut intake to fit the SC
LoveFab 4-2-1 Header
2.5" catless
Super Magnaflow 2.5" in/out muffler (for superior quiet/stealth operation)
Fidanza 8lb Flywheel
South Bend Clutch 6puck ceramic/organic clutch
Cheap Gauges - Stuart Warner - FP - OP - B/V
Hurts T handle shifter
B & R fittings fuel feed line!
Walbro GSS342 255lph pump
JDM P30 - Hondata S300
EX Rear drums (freebie)
E85!!!
Step or 2 colder plugs (7 or 8 whichever it likes the best on the dyno)
All this super fine material packed into a ratty *** ($400) 1992 Civic DX Hatch with NO options - Not even power steering - Just the way we like it.
Tuned by Mikey at Pro Function
Will get back with numbers and if you see this Mikey, thanks for taking the bastard child on NOO notice at all! It is more than appreciated!!!!!!!!!

Re: 92 Civic - H22a - JRSC - It can't be done, or can it?
Its had a rough life.. It was delivered with a rod sticking out the front of the block (#3 I believe) Sadly what was left of the rod was welded to the crankshaft - A show piece now.
This was the original D15b7... It was burning 1 quart of oil every 20 miles (apparently) and was then ran on straight lucas 90w for like 4000 miles and never touched... The rod let go in about 2ft of mud (seen it happen...)
So the car was bought cheap (cheap enough).
Total price right now is around 6k - Not bad for a car with all new suspension, bushings, bearings, engine, trans (nice interior) a lil' hail damage and hopefully close to 300whp...
It weighed in at 2245lb with no driver and full tank of fuel..

Just a little leaked information...
Numbers look to be...
300.7 whp and 255 wtq....
-Jerod
This was conservative initial runs, low timing
Will have graph up soooooon

Re: 92 Civic - H22a - JRSC - It can't be done, or can it?
Going back to chi-town tomorrow to pick the car up...
Sounds like Mikey definitely took care of things..
Unfortunately the the intake being used it more than sub-par.
Without a graph in hand- going by word of mouth - The agressive tune made 300whp and 255 wtq with Mikey's intake (apparently a long out of the car type of intake)
With the DD tune and the short ram the car makes in the neighborhood of 250whp and ? torque (Around 240 I think)
We are going to work on a super intake when the car gets back and go from there...
I do think 250/240 should be a fun DD with not so many problems..
Strange thing is, stock crank pulley and all other stock pulleys other than the motorvations "9" psi pulley is making 11psi......
IDC's are pretty low considering 880's on E should be good for around 350whp
I will have graphs up wednesday night and I think Mikey is posting a video sometime of the car on the dyno...
-Will edit when Graphs are in hand
