91 Boosted DA won't rev past 3k
My buddy has a boosted 91 DA with a 95 JDM gsr in it and it doesn't rev past 3k. It sounds like he has a rev limiter when he hits 3k. He got his ECU chipped and converted everything to OBD1 but nothing yet. The ECU light also blinks sometimes when starting the car, he thinks it might be the harness, anyone know what it can be? Any help appreciated, T.I.A

kinda vague but Im guessing he has a stock map sensor. Chipped ECU?.....what Chip?
The car is going into limp mode at 3k. It could be a number of things but i guess map sensor with the little info that you gave

Need more info, but it's in limp mode for sure. The engine light will tell the story, there shouldn't be much mystery involved.

i have that problem in my car right now. but it wont rev part 3600 i belive. its because my ecu is chipped by phearable and it has a two step launch in it and my speed sensor its broken so the sensor isnt telling the ecu that the car is moving so its pretty much stuck in the two step launch, unitl i get a new vss.

a buddy of mine with GSR swap in a hatch had the same problem. we went into his crome software and turned off the barometric pressure sensor and it fixed it.

He said the engine light doesn't come on so he doesn't know what could be causing the problem.
How do you get off of limp mode? His ECU is hondatta chipped and its also tuned. Should I tell him to check his map sensor?
