84mm Arias piston VS an 84mm Weisco piston...
I am wondering if both pistons would have the same average overall diameter? I know that CP and other manufactures label the pistons "84mm" so the block can be bored out to exactly 84mm with the right clearances already taken care of.
I'm asking this because, when I rehone my block, I would like to install some weisco pistons to replace my Arias if possible without having to overbore.
Thanks for any input,
Bryson.

last time i checked 84mm is 84mm.. I would assume each company might have its own tolerances but they shouldn't be too far off.

The measurements in the product descriptions should be right on. If the Wisecos say 84 mm then that's what they should measure...
They might require different clearances but they should be the same size. Of course, you should double check before dropping them in though.

Definetly. I will measure the cylinder bores, along with the exact piston diameter and make sure that the cylinder wall clearance is within spec.
