Default 81mm vs 84mm block! Turbo motor build Help!

So I spoke to two companies regarding the fact I wanna turbo my gsr, the cars main purpose is daily boosting occasional track and strip. My power goal is to have 650hp, but the block ready to support 800-900hp. Dan Benson is the man who suggested to me that for this power goal I donot need to sleeve the block past 81mm. He told me its better to sleeve the motor (benson sleeves) and keep it at 81mm, because no matter how many times knock on wood it breaks at least you have thicker walls, which is better than having thin cylinder walls. For pistions he said to go with CP Forged Pistons 81mm 9.0:1. Now the other company is Realstreet they suggested to sleeve the block to 84mm, and to go with darton mid sleeves, and im not sure what specs of the pistons but it would be cp pistons. Rods for both setups would also be manley ibeam rods. Also both would have upgraded cp wall pins. I would like to know which one is better. I may have missed some information on why Benson suggest to stick with the 81mm. Although that is why Im hoping someone could help me get this confusion between this resolved.

Higher compression will make the engine more responsive out of boost and with technology and a good tuner you can tuner higher compression even on oump gas and boost. 81mm will be fine but 84mm will increase displacement and make the engine more efficient if built properly with a combination of parts.

Darton sleeves once the block is machined if you have a failure you can replace just the sleeves in your already machined block. I would always do upgraded wrist pins as the price difference is usually 100 bucks and it's added strength. Eagle H beams will be plenty of rod for your power goals and will save you money over the Manley turbo tuff rods. In the future if you wanted to rev higher and make more power a simple
Bolt uograde on the eagles and you'll be good to go. That's assuming you would want to push it past 750whp range.

Contact ARFab in Virginia 15407223966. Tell Howard That Justin sent you and he will help you build a badass bottom end. He does our engine work and we couldn't be happier. Making over 800 with a 6266 on moderate boost levels 24-25 pounds

Since this is regarding a sleeved motor, the strength aspect (thickness) is not an issue. The difference is displacement vs rebuild ability. 84mm would give you at least 2 more rebuilds while giving you a 1.9L engine.

I would go with the 84mm bore in whatever sleeve you choose.

I would go with 84mm, I have ran a couple different sleeved blocks and I would say GE has been the best for me. I would also o-ring it for the extra protection, which only costs like an extra 150 bucks..

I bet you're right, I'll look up the IP addy used to log on to both accounts and compare. if it is him then having two usernames if you arent a site sponsor is a terms of service violation and is a bannable offense.
