8.8:1 compresion, 145k miles, how much nitrous?
im getting a good deal on a Zex Dry nitrous kit, so im thinkin about buying it and installing it on my SOHC f22 with 145k on it, just to get a little go out of this car until i get my full h22a1 swap, so my questions are...
1) I was thinkin about running a 65 shot, is that gonna be too much for my POS engine to handle? Should I just run a 55 shot or lower? Its got very low compression but its also got alot of miles on it so im not real sure what to do
2) What am I gonna need to do to make sure that my engine doesnt detonate? Colder plugs?, retard the timing 2 or 3 degrees? Fuel pump? Bigger Injectors? this engine is probaly gonna be gone by the end of the summer, so it doesnt need to be completely safe, and im probably gonna use the nitrous less than once a week.
Thanx for helpin the noobie out

I woudln't go more then a 50 shot, but then again I would never use nitrous oxide! You asking for trouble with a dry shot!

Well yes and no I guess if you do it right you shouldn't have a problem, but my friends zex dry shot kit he notice he was slowly losing compression on all 4 cylinders especially the #4 cylinder which sees the most nitrous and runs leaner then the other cylinders that are farther away from the intake pipe!

Actually #3 runs the leanest in a NA setup.. Is there a reason that #4 would run the leanest using nitrous..
