Default 8.5:1 Comp + Boost VS. 9.5:1 Comp + Boost

Basically I am just wondering which will be capable of more power, if either.
Say you have two identical blocks. Say LS motors for example.
You put 8.5:1 Compression Pistons in one of them, and 9.5:1 Compression Pistons in the other.
I know the whole spiel about Static Vs. Effective Compression. I know you can run more boost with a lower compression motor and what not, but which will have more power. For instance if you boost both motors to their maximum horsepower by the limits of the block, you have the perfect tune on them and everything. Which motor will you be able to get more horsepower out of?

I _think_ the engine with the lower compression wil pull better numbers, because of the extra boost level you can run without running into detonation.

For overall power on pump gas, it's much wiser to go with lower compression.

says the guy notorious for his "Ultimate Response" high CR turbo setup

- Uh...I'm assuming he meant with race gas or something? In that case...I'm guessing the 8.5CR would put out higher numbers still...but I'm a moron so...heh

On a well-sleeved Honda I4 engine...we're talking around 1000 whp here... because there are quite a few at 800+ whp anyway ---> we'd have to look at what those guys have already done.
