boost creep. your motor is flowing more air with increasing rpms, and there is some factor going on that the wastegate isnt letting all the air bypass the turbo and its slowly getting into the turbine and creating more boost

your wastegate is too smal dude !
you are prolly running a 38 mm Tial. like 70% of the peep's here,
get a 44 mm, you will be fine!
though, if you have a custom manifold, a bad wastegate location is often leading to boost creep... wich you have right now...
hope this help

let me guess.... drag?
definitely boost creep, its not that ur WG is too small its that the location is poor. Im guessin the gate is on the #1 runner and not the collector.

Actually had this happen once. Take the wastegate off and look in the wastegate flange. Make sure the hole where the wastegate runner meets the manifold is opened up and not a tiny little hole that isn't letting the exhaust out the gate. Or just chop it off, open up the hole and have someone weld another one on.
Also the comment of too small of a wastegate is BS, it has to do more with manifold pressure/wastegate placement that determines how big of a wastegate you need.

wow .. xs power manifolds are rubber now ? amazing ! .. jk take off the manifodl and grind it out .. and proceed to put that junk in the trash.

when u turn the wastegate over, and the end that installs on the runner theres a rubber piece with a tiny whole that he said should be bigger, but a tech at the dealership said to leave it alone?? what to do???

isn't the rubber piece ^^^he's talking about is the wastegate diaphrame? you shouldn't be modifying that... you should be opening up the opening for the manifold/wastegate runner... not the rubber diaphrame

Re: (1baddcivicsi)
since wg is out check what color the wg spring is and check what rate it is?
like Tial they color the springs in boost catagory...they have gave you a wrong spring....am not saying thats what happened, but its good to double check these things since wg is off the manifold!

Re: (IntegraTypeR)
the opening from the manifold to the wastegate is good. i had a 5 psi spring when it crept to 9 psi, i just installed a 3 psi spring with no boost controller.
