Re: (Boner_Ben)
high hp k.... well the car im talking about made 580whp on 23 psi and there are a few other faster rsx's in south florida... including one 700whp one... k series is abe to hold the power if built with no doubt... question is, is the stock block that damn strong or is this kid lying...

This car Originally made 515whp on 19lbs of boost on a GT35R.
after that Article was written the car saw much more boost.
I think at the track we had it turned up to approx 25lbs.
Which should easily be 580+
Unfortunalty a few busted trannies kept the car from doing anything cool and redynoing
The car is at our shop agian for a bigger turbo setup/stock motor power
The reliability is in the tune, the car made good power with very little timing and plenty of extra fuel.
Everything was kept very conservative. Everthing but the boost.
At that point, It seems better to add boost than timing.
Keep all the heat and Cylinder pressure as low as possible, and it becomes pretty straight forward.

Don't the K's have forged pistons? If so, then i rescind my statement.

No they are cast just as any other Honda piston is.
K-series Isnt the only stock motor big power stuff that we've done.
B-series and H-series seem to hold it too...
