550whp maybe 600whp max
i am in the process of building a ls/vtec turbo car right now.. i have the block sleeved to 84.5mm and forged pistons and eagle rods.. the head is a stock b16a with gsr cams..
my goal is going to be 550whp or 600whp to the wheels. i am really wanting to get 600whp but i am not wanting to get a twin disc clutch.. that is why i am wanting 550whp.. b ut the real question is what turbo.. show i get??? i am wanting to get the sc61.. but i am not sure what which one to get... or to even get this turbo.. could somebody give me some good advice.. thanks..
and it is not going to be a daily driver.. but it will be only driven on the street.. thanks.. a lot...

A Borg Warner S362 would fit your needs pretty well. It has the extended tip technology that allows it to be more efficient at higher PRs which means it can make the power you want and more without sacrificing much spool. If you were satisfied more in the 550whp range, a Borg Warner S258 would do the trick. The smaller version, the S256, has been proven to over 550whp on C16 at around 33psi. The S258 would be nearer 600whp at the same PR.

i was looking at those turbo's but i am not going to spend that much on a turbo right now.. that is why i was leading towards the sc61.. cause i can get one for 725.. and that is about my price range..

besides wanting to make 550 to 600whp what do you want to do with the car??
is it street only, drag only, or a DD/weekend warrior ?

he maxed out his fuel system.. the only thing that i have is a bbk 255 fuel pump and that is it.. do you think i should get another fuel pump or what.. what did he upgrade too..
watch clutches are u guys using to make over 550whp.. that is a question that nobody can answer for me.. i am getting the competition stage 5 clutch with the upgraded pressure plate.. but do you think that i should go twin disc.. cause i really don't want to spend that type of money on a clutch...
thanks

holding good, not sure how long its been in there, hes had that setup for about a year now, so im saying around a year or more.
the 2600 holds a lot of power. twin discs are aimed more towards awd cars that take a headvy load to launch. although some honda need them for the serious power there pushing.

Re: 550whp maybe 600whp max
nope, stock oe axles yo. over a year of abuse and no breakage.
ninja edit: he did break one axle once, the night he did that the track was stickin like no other, he pulled like a 1.4 60' !!! other than that, oe axles are fine. not preloading is your enemy.
stage 5 competition should hold plenty of power. im guessing thats like the 2600, 6puck sprung. idk how much your planning to run but that clutch is almost as good as the act 2600.
edit: 60' time is exagerating since not many fwd cars can even pull that obviously. i said "like" cause i didnt know the exact time.
