508whp front mount turbo b18 divided t4 gt35r at 17psi pump gas
i havent seen much info on gt35r's with divided t4 exhaust housings so i figured i would post this up.
1994 Integra GSR
Benson Sleeved b18c1
LS crankshaft
84mm CP pistons 9:1
pauter rods
acl bearings
new OEM water pump, oil pump, timing belt, tensioner
OEM head gasket overbored by GE
ITR head
supertech valves, valve springs, and retainers
skunk2 stage 2 intake cam skunk2 stage 1 exhaust cam
turbo setup
Synapse Motorsport Front mount turbo manifold
1.06 A/R T4 divided housing 35r with ported shroud
Twin Tial 38mm vband wastegates
Tial 50mm bov
600hp garrett core intercooler
neptune
walbro 255 with bosch 044 inline fuel pump
1000cc ID injectors
competition stage 5 clutch
stock GSR transmission
stock axles
stock ignition
4 bar map sensor.
i built the motor earlier this year, synapse fabricated the kit and tuned the car and i originally used a set of beat flattened out ITR cams with stock cam gears, and beat rocker arms just to get the car running while i got some other stuff together for the car. the setup only made 445whp at 17psi on pump(520whp at 24psi), i was not very satisfied with that but was definately not short of expectation given the condition of the cams, i was hoping it was the cams and lack of gears but the divided housing is new to me and thought maybe that was the cause. power was dropping off in the upper rpms. never the less the turbo spooled exactly the same as my old .82 a/r gt3076r, which spooled up about 500rpms sooner than my .82 a/r gt35r setup on my old similar motor so i was happy with that aspect of the results. havent seen many results from these divided gt35r's so i wasnt sure what to expect. i drove it everyday at 9psi=325whp for about 4k miles. after that i turned the boost up for about a week, the car doesn't like to hook 4th gear at 445whp as you can see in the video below. obviously the car needs more power right? lol
so here comes more power, i swapped in adjustable cam gears, new rocker arms, and an odd combination of cams due to extenuating circumstances i wont get into but it was a skunk2 stage 2 intake cam and skunk2 stage 1 exhaust cam both tuner series. the result was 508whp an increase in 63whp at the same 17psi boost level. very impressive, im sure the cam gears alone would have helped the old setup though. so all in all ive got a turbo that spools up as quick as a gt3076r and makes a bit more power. hoping for 600+whp on race when i get around to it.
no video with the new cams but here is the car on the dyno and street at around 450whp.

Here is the new dyno graph with the old graph layer over. I think an intake manifold might help a bit more up top too.

Nice built,(skunk2 stage 2 intake cam and skunk2 stage 1 exhaust cam both tuner series) I never seen that combination... 63 hp just changing the cams its impresive!!!

How do you spin 4th gear like that...lol I don't even spin like that with 650 WHP in 10 degC cool fall weather..haha Time to improve on the tire/suspension stuff.

Beautiful set-up man, the fab & fit work looks excellent. I love the location of the turbo. She looks like a beast, well done. How many man hours you think you put in?

Interesting forward facing turbo placement with that manifold. Looks great and nice numbers for sure.

No the video is on a gsr transmission no LSD. I never drove the car at 445whp on the itr LSD tranny.

very nice front mount turbo. Jealous.
And you did the exact opposite of me; you did ls in gsr, and I did gsr in ls
