500whp + which Clutch?
Am I going to have to force myself to buy an exedy twin disc or something of that nature to hold this kind of power?
I plan on daily driving the car, and I do not like a ridiculously heavy clutch pedal feel, one where my left leg will be huge after a couple months of driving.
Am I asking for too much?

Tilton twin is the next one I'm going to try.
CM stage 5 (center irons) have fail me two times already. The spine on the disc broke on my street for 2 times now.

im trying the ACT Xtreme Pressure plate and ACT 6puck disc. i had the XTSS and it held for 3 years now on some beating . from 170ish to 200 to 300 to 400whp . it took a beating over the years and just started slipping . so i upgraded to the 6 puck to see. if it dont work Tilton will be next .

save your time and headaches and grab a tilton twin disc.
especially if you want a almost like stock feel and not the on/off switch feel of a puck clutch.

someone locally here in cincinnati runs a XX pressure plate with a 6 puck disk and the the car has only slipped maybe 2 times. but that was on 26"slicks. The car makes around 545 whp. On the street it works great. I think im gonna try something along those lines at first getting used to driving the car since they are affordable ~500$... and hopefully one day i can afford a tilton. how much tq are the 2md's rated for? I have a 1MD 6puck unspring right now, i was wondering if i would see if the 2md would hold it, but smokin a clutch and changing it and spending more cash sucks

i think the 2md is rated for 350 ft lbs of torque so it would be a little iffy imo at 500+ whp but it probably could work..for a while

2MD will not hold 500+ HP, Action does have a Pro Turbo Clutch capable of that, but it is not streetable.

hmm, interesting. i just blew my clutchnet 6puck sprung last nite. im about 300whp definitely not near 500 yet but the clutch was real nice, not super stiff PP and grabbed pretty well. and at $300 new i was very happy with it. i definitely want to upgrade for something similiar or better but like many dont want a vin deisel left leg.

waqs it properly broken in ? thats wierd. i had no probs with mine yet. im hoping the 6 puck will be better.
ACT told me it should hold up more than fine
