50 tirm on a ls

i have been searching for help with turbo sizing for a b18a
and i keep getting either get a super 60 or a 57 trim t3/t4
would a 50 trim t3/t4 be good or is it to small its a stock b18a
looking for full boost btwn 3300 and 3800 but to hold strong to redline
which is 6800 for me and suggestions would be appreciated as far compressor and
turbine a/r specs also welcomed

50 trim compressor with .48 hot side should work really well for what you need! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

yea im going to agree on this one, 50 trim with .48 a/r. power will start to die off after about 6300-6500 rpms, but dont sweat it, you have to do a good amount of work that compliments itself to get that to stop happening on an ls head.

i got the 57 trim .63 for my ls, but my goals are a lil different then yours

Re: 50 tirm on a ls (blackeg)

that was the size i was looking at but i just didnt list it i am supercharged now
but really wanting more but don't want to loose all my low end to midrange
i was thinking of a 60 trim but due to my financial situation i dont think i would be
able to make good use of this turbo any time soon final plan is a built turbo ls/vtec
but i know this is not not happening anytime soon or even in the next year or even 2

How can you think a 50-trim, a large turbo that will support north of 400 WHP, is "small" and will run out of breath on your 6500 RPM LS?

Re: 50 tirm on a ls (turboEGhatch)

i wasn't thinking that but from looking through the archives i seen
answers from its to small for any b series to its to laggy thats why i
asked the question about the size and specs for a ls so i could get some
definite answers even though it is still just all opinion

go for the 50 trim .48a/r t3/t4E. It should be really nice on a stock b18a, it's in between the two other turbo's you're looking at. What's your whp goal?

i use a 50 trim with .48 exhaust side. it spools relatively well. definately reccomend it for b18a/b motors.
