Default 50 dry shot and afc w/ injectors?

I think I've come to the conclusion that a turbo isn't gonna happen - I simply don't have enough time to tear down my daily driver.

On to nawwz... A fogger would be ideal, but that's expensive. A wet system, I've read, can unevenly distribute fuel.

What about a dry WOT system w/ afc & larger injectors? Can the safc be programmed for WOT?

Anyone see where I'm going here? ... street driveability w/ proper fuel under boost. Easy to install and relatively inexpensive...

Or am I too stupid to realize I've asked a dumb question?

you can make it run nice if you tune it under WOT. but what about daily driving? i am sure your motor is not gonna see nitrous like turbo'ed cars see boost. what im saying is that you may run extremely rich driving around town because you are not gonna be spraying everytime you step on the gas.........you know?

now if you cut out larger injectors then what you are talking about is senseable.

just tune the afc at WOT on the dyno

So use the stock 230cc (?) injectors? They'd be sufficient under normal fuel pressure? What's afc's max... +50?

Thanks SOHC...

You think +50 afc on standard injectors is sufficient for a 50 shot?

Tuning... Yes, important!

What I want to know: Will the stock 230cc injectors off stock pressure +50 be sufficient for a 50 shot...

Anybody?

yes.....lots off ppl run dry 50 shots with no fuel mods

i ran a 50 wet just with a B&M regulator. i blew my headfgasket but only because i didnt notice how ****** high my bottle pressure was that day.........i was lucky.

the VAFC will be good enough fuel management for a 50 shot and maybe even more.............you have to get it tuned tho.

Just to clarify something, STOCK D/B series injectors are both rated at 240cc... Peace

Thanks for the correction

1 more question... could anyone comment on nos consumption? IE: if I spray X number of times per day for X long, how long will X (small bottle, little room) bottle last? And what will it cost to be filled?

Thanks guys...

With a ~50hp nitrous/fuel jet setup and a 10lbs. bottle you should have a little over 3 minutes at full power... You will be able to squeeze for a long time after that but it definately won't hit as hard... As you would imagine you can expect less time (at full power) on a higher hp setup... Peace

Thanks for the input Kataku...

Man, every bone in my body is telling me boost the right way... The Edelbrock kit seems an easy solution but the price tag would have me in the dog house for a month

I need direction people...

You aren't talkin about turbo are you??? hehe, sorry if i'm taking this totally wrong but if you are I can tell you that boost from a turbo car hits 10 times harder than a nitrous car and nitrous hits hard... If you wanna see a short little vid I put together of our turbo cars here's the link and if i'm totally off here just IGNORE ME, haha Peace

yeah... in 'my mind' the right way to do it would be to turbo...

it's either time or money... and, apparently, i have neither.

this is fucked up...
