5 wire oxygen sensor on a 87 Civic CRX?
ok, so i was at the junkyard today, looking for a mating connector for my NTK L1H1 wideband sensor. i popped the hood on an 87 Civic CRX (fuel injected) looked like a SOHC, and lo and behold it has a 5 wire sensor in the exhaust mani. now it doesnt look like my NTK L1H1 exactly, seems a bit longer, and the nut on it is smaller, maybe a 12 or 14 mm while the NTK L1H1 is an 18mm nut. i didnt have time to pull it out, or the tools handy cuz i was originally looking for that female connector, but is it a true 5 wire wideband part? because i will pull it and keep as a spare if it is, the car had like 50k on the clock so theres prolly some life left in the sensor.
cliff notes: 87 civic crx 5 wire O2 sensor? is it interchangeable with an NTK L1H1 wideband? is it worth the time and effort of separating it from the mani? its in there pretty good.

nobody knows? im going back in a few days with an O2 sensor socket, hopefully i can pull it out and see exactly what it is. anyone got recommendations for the best way of getting it out of the exhaust mani? i imagine its been in there for a few years.

bet on that. the junkyards not open tomorrow (labor day) but if i can, im all over when i get out of class tuesday. im gonna get an oxygen sensor socket an some penetrating oil after it. what size socket should i try first? are they standardized? i know my NTK L1H1 is 18mm, but this fellow is smaller, like eyeballing it to be a 12mm or 14mm maybe...

you mean a crescent wrench will fit on it?
you cant get a crescent wrench in there to get around it. the radiator is in the way and the sensor is nestled down into the top of the exhaust mani. its gonna have to be a socket...any ideas as to the size cuz im gonna have to go buy an oxygen sensor socket. i didnt know there was such a thing as an O2 socket but its really deep and has a slit up the side for the wires to pass thru it.
