Default 4th gen OBD0 D16A6 into a 5th gen OBD1

Hey folks. I've posted this in all teh other "correct forums" such as eg civic and hybrid, but to no avail. So obvioulsy we have the most active forum on the board being "froced induction". I can alway's count on you guy's for a response any way.

Here is goes:

My younger bro blew his motor - D15B7 in his 92 civic.
I have a D16A6 (OBDO) 91 Si motor that i can pop in for him (just motro obviously cause the tranny is cable). Are thre any issues putting this OBD0 motor in a OBD1 car? I can use his existing OBD1 dizzy and intake mnaifold with all the OBD1 sensors.

Can some one tell me if this is a direct bolt in plug and play so i can get this under way ASAP. Or if there are some issues I would have to resolve?

Help please.

thanks guy's

Default Re: 4th gen OBD0 D16A6 into a 5th gen OBD1 (Hybrid)

You will need to change the Main driver's side mount (the bracket that bolts to the block). Tranny will bolt up. Most sensors will swap over...You'll probably wanna use your 92 IM. and you will probably need to extend the block temp sensor (it's on the back of the OBD0 block and on the tranny side of the OBD1 head...

So minor issues as I had thought.

I am using the 92 intake and exhaust mani and well what ever else fits on the OBD1 car.

Thanks for the info btw, its much appreciated.
