Default 48trim t3 turbo

running a b18a1 with a 48trim turbo, have a problem at wide open on the car, so me people are telling me its the tune on the chip, so think the turbo is just running out of power after 5000rpm, it start spooling at 2500rpms but at wide open sometimes it feels like its not wide open, kinda hard to explain, but yea im thinking about getting a new 50trim t3t4

It's because that turbo is tiny. It feels like its not wide open because the turbo is so small to begin with and you are probably choking it up top.

Is the car tuned or on a basemap?

true but based off what he is saying it sounds like he has a tiny turbo, spools at 2500, power falls off around 5000rpm, sounds almost like a stock eclipse lol.

everything all of u have said sounds like everything that is going on it is a tiny turbo i know the hot side is a 48 a/r but i do have a basemap but the basemap was done with a 50trim turbo 63 a/r and on 8 psi spring, im still running the 8 psi havent change that.

im really been looking to get a new turbo but having a bit of a problem trying to find a really good size turbo. i really want a turbo to spool at 3000rpm but have the power to put out a lot of boost with out running out of power... if anyone has some good turbo let me know

dude you dont even have a tune...and you arnt even running the right basemap for your set up...its probably running super pig rich.

i have a smaller turbo and you see my dyno chart? it pulls all the way to redline. and i start boost at 2700 rpm...

get a tune then come back stop wasting your money. You will get a new turbo with the same basemap for another set up and again you will be in the same position...

i dont get all these people who spend all this money on a turbo set up to just skimp out on the last 300 bucks on a tune for it to run perfectly.

After the tune, if the power does not meet your power goals, THEN change turbos
