440cc injectors and horsepower
What are the maximum boost you can run with 440cc injectors on 3.5 or 4,5 Bar fuel press using a standalone without rising rate regulator?

Re: 440cc injectors and horsepower (austrian type-R)
depends on your turbo, using BSFC of .55 and 85% duty cycle you will make around 280HP on those injectors and 4.5bar FP, on a type R that should come at around 12PSI.

280WHP is just what the program spat out, i guess that is how they figure cars to perform conservatively. should make more than this by 60 -70hp min based on a small T3/4

Re: 440cc injectors and horsepower (rtype11)
there was a gsr out here that made 355hp to the wheels with 440 injectors on 15 psi.

Re: 440cc injectors and horsepower (Turboholic)
HP aquirable = [(injector lb/hr X max duty cycle) /BSFC] X # of injectors
BSFC (brake specific fuel consumption, or the amount of fuel it takes to make 1 HP = the short deffinition anyway )
Injector Duty cycle = the amount of time the injector is open. For instance, if it is at 0% duty cycle, the injector is not opening. If it is at 100% duty cycle, the injector is staying open the entire time.
To find injector lb/hr, you must take cc/min and divide by 10.5. For instance, 550cc/mn / 10.5 = 52.38 lb/hr injectors The injectors MUST be in lb/hr for this formula to work.
Have fun!
Oh yeah...... if you are running higher than 43.5psi of fuel pressure, then you must figure out what your injectors are actually capable of flowing. Thats more work than I care to show you. Go to http://www.RCeng.com and to the tech area to figure it out. I'm lazy

Re: 440cc injectors and horsepower (TurboMiata)
ugh, one other thing!
280HP is about right. Since you have a standalone, why are you raising the FP by so much? Run stock FP, and really large injectors. Its the way to go.....
