400whp b16 stock block E85 build??
ok so im jw if all of you could chime in on what you think, ive talked to howard at rlz here in concord,nc. while my race engine is being built an brad Z does the head, i decided to have a lil fun an shoot for 400whp. on a stock block b16
previous stock block setup made 330whp @ rlz on 100 octane. full race kit te61 turbo on 10-11psi 11.6.1 a/f
gas prices are stupid so im goin to try this new E85.
setup is as follows
fullrace
topmount
gt35r
44mm wg
4 inch dp
tilton twindisk
dss stage 5's
1000cc injectors
walboro 255 high flow
stock usdm b16
arp headstuds
cometic head gasket
skunk 2 intake manifold
70mm tb
gsr cams ( tryin to find type r as we speak)
44m gate is set at 1 bar i believe,
is this possible on E85 with 1000ccs,and walboro?? eveybody has said i need more injectors,an bigger pump... what does e85 take 30-40% more fuel??
maybe jeff evans...or any other tuner/Z can chime in, ive seen his e85 tunes there SICK!!
EVERYBODYS 2CENTS IS WELCOME!!!

Re: 400whp b16 stock block E85 build?? (popnvtec)
1000cc's are more than adequate for 400whp on E85, as is the walbro 255. Your correct pretty much on the fuel volume. Your looking at about 30%+ more fuel.
Keep in mind, that while E85 is cheaper, you do consume more of it, so your mileage will drop. E85 is pretty impressive though. Don't be surprised to see boost 500+rpm quicker. Might want to get tuned on summer mix though. Get tuned now and you'll run lean on summer mix due to the higher ethanol content.

I made 585wheel with x2 255hp and 1000cc's witha -8 Feed on E85. My friend made 595wheel on my Injectors and a single 255hp and stock lines.
The station next to my house still has summer blend, I ask him every time I go in there.

You can make over 400whp on that setup.......personally I wouldn't use the gt35r on a ticking time bomb; if the motor blows; there is a good chance its taking the turbo with it, everything else should be fine

Re: (red_crx)
That is a very good point. I will be doing the exact same thing on my motor. I am going to run RC 1200's with my walbro 255 on E85 while I amass all the parts for my next motor. I am looking for 400 on an ALL-stock head/block B16 (gsr cams). I might throw in the ARP studs just in case, but other than that, it is entirely possible.
Back to the topic, I am going to be running a GT35R as well but will be using the old T3/T04E 60 trim for the demo motor...
