400HP Daily LSVTEC Build Progress
Well the build has progressed enough to start a build thread.
I bought this EK hatch from a friend for $800 running with a Y7 drove it for a month and the single blew. Bought a stock lsvtec and took it apart and started dumping money into the motor.
Got rid of the steelies for now and put side markers on
It's new heart
Taking it apart.
Picked up some Mahle PowerPak 81.5mm pistons
and some Eagles
3" Exhaust
Block back from machine shop
Brand new turbo!
I was too excited lol
Head back from Champion
Starting Assembly
At work
Ready to take home
Just wanted to see what it looked like
Bung welded
Hate working in a small space, I need to get rid of all this single cam stuff.
As of last night 04/25/14
Set up
99 CTR Head with GSR cams
Skunk2 First gen intake manifold
B18B1 Block 81.5mm Mahle 9:1 cr pistons
Eagle Rods
ACL Rod bearings
Clevite main bearings and thrust bearings
Competition Stage 3 Clutch (2600)
Competition 12lb flywheel
JDM GSR Transmission
I am breaking the motor in N/A
For the turbo set up so far I have
T3 Custom manifold
Garrett T3/TO4E .57 Trim .63 a/r
Tial 38mm wastegate
I need to buy ID1000's, Intercooler, piping, BOV next.
ECU- Po6 converted to P28 chipped and socketed with obd2 to obd1 harness
Breaking in base map from Phearable.net
I am excited to finally get this thing on the road. I bought the car in September 2013.
Started the build in October. I am having a little baby girl in July so I am trying to be boosted by then!!

What kind of assembly lube did you use on the bottom end and head? I'm not really seeing any around the rod or main journals nor any under the rod bolts where they meet the cap, that can affect torque/stretch values.
