4 Turbo questions - from a NOOB to forced induction.
Ok, after about 6 months with my b16a I am now ready to boost it. My compression test came in with all cylindars between 215 and 225, so I think I am in good condition. I am just putting together my turbo kit, I have the following parts.
Manifold
T3 Turbo
3" Downpipe
Wastegage
BOV
FMU
Intercooler
Oil Kit
Charge Pipes
Boost and A/F Gauges
What else do you think I need? I am running out of funds fast.
---------------------------
I am also trying to visualize how everything is going to fit together, so that brings me to my next question. Whare do all of the vaccume lines go? Searched honda-tech and internet and couldn't find any specicifics. I know how the FMU hooks up, but there are a few other hoses I don't know about.
1) 3 lines come off of the wastegate, 1 is marked boost and it is on the bottom, the other two are on the top market vaccume. They are just threaded holes right now, I am assuming I need a connector.
2) 1 line comes off the top of the BOV
3) 1 line comes off the turbo.
------------------------
My other question is about the size of the downpipe. It is a 3" DP, bought a few parts together and this came with it. The rest of my exhaust is 2 & 3/8", will that be a problem at all?
------------------------
I can reuse my exhaust gasket, but would my local car parts store have the gaskets that go between the manafold and the T3 turbo, the one that goes between the manafold and the wastegate, and the one that goes betweeen the turbo and the downpipe - 5 bolt pattern? Any part numbers I could start with?

Re: 4 Turbo questions - from a NOOB to forced induction. (Matrix_Zero)
hook the bottom port on the wastegate to the port on the turbo
leave the port(s?) on the top of the wg open
hook the BOV to a vacuum source on the intake manifold (T it off)
your exhaust may be a slight restriction but it will be fine IMO
do not use any gaskets between your turbo & downpipe or your manifold and wastegate. just make sure the surfaces are flat and CLEAN.
if you insist on using that FMU, get a high-pressure inLINE fuel pump

Any vaccume source?

Any recomendations for high pressure fuel pumps?
