4 720cc's vs. 8 smaller injectors (500whp)?
For the heavy hitters on the board... Jinx, Littleblue, etc...
What are the advantages to running 8 injectors over 4 large injectors? Standalone will be used of course. Trying to decide on fuel system and intake manifold now and need to come to a conclusion about this. Any info is appreciated.

IMHO, 720's do not support 500whp properly. If you really have that power, I don't care what anyone tells you, go with 4 closer to 1000cc.

Re: 4 720cc's vs. 8 smaller injectors (earl)
The 720cc part isn't as important to be as the main point of either running 4 or 8 injectors. I have heard 8 injectors can be easier to tune (I don't see how). I'll be running AEM EMS by the way, and this will be in a street car...
Does RC even make 1000's? And will it be possible to idle those suckers out even with standalone?

i have 8 injectors. 4 310's and 4 550's. for racing, as long as your tuned correctly, i don't think it matters. 4 big injectors or 8 small ones. for street driving however, my 8 injector set up runs as smooth as a factory car. all the way through the power band. i mean absolutely no flooding, perfect throttle feel. never a hesitation. mash the gas ANYWHERE/ANYTIME and the response is flawless.
just my opinion/experience.

u need to buy a manifold that has a two rail option or u can make ur own.
jinx, when ya run a two rail, u have to run a split line from the filter to each rail right? so u would also need two fpr's as well?

Re: 4 720cc's vs. 8 smaller injectors (roby)
And believe it or not... it's cheaper to buy 8 brand new injectors than 4 1100cc from RC. A set of 4 of those bastards are $800 bucks... ouch.
Karl I'm kind of curious to know how that fuel system works as well. Will (1) 1000hp fuel pump supply both rails with adequate pressure? And like the post above says... would two regulators need to be used?

i use steel braided 10an line from my fuel tank. runs to the first rail, out the other side of the rail and back into the second rail. fpr is at the end of the second rail. return line then back to the fuel tank. the aeromotive 1000 should work fine.

Ok, and I take it that your 550's are primary and the 310's are secondary... any idea what your duty cycle was when you laid down 509whp?

Re: 4 720cc's vs. 8 smaller injectors (HybridKOOP)
310's are primary. no idea on the duty cycle but i have the equivalent of 860 injectors pushing only around 510 hsp. i figured they'd be fine up to about 550 hsp.

well 8 injectors are nice as karl say's, just cost more and a little more clutter in the engine bay.I have 4x83lb injectors in my setup .The car idles good and has great throttle response, I think Karls beats mine as streetable, but that is also because I am lazy, and dont take my laptop with me to fine tune on the street, **** my car hasnt seen the street since june. But back to the point 4 injectors will work fine, and is cheaper, 8 injector set up is good but more complicated as far as 2 fuel rails 8 injectors and so on.if you arent going over 96lb injectors 4 injector setup would be fine.Jason

you can buy msd 96 pound injectors for around a 100 each , probally less I know some one had a group buy going on a while ago on em. I got my 83 pound injectors for 94.00 each at jegs, went right in the stock honda rail just use double stock o-rings up top and use spacers , thats what I am currently using, and I know they support over 500, Jason
p.s. they are accel injectors I can get you the part # latter from jegs catalog.

Would you happen to know if the 96lb injectors come in a saturated fashion? I hate resistor packs...
