38mm TiAL wastegate diaphragm ripped
I have a small tear on my 38mm wastegate's diaphragm, right under the banjo bolt.
I got a new banjo bolt to run earls -4an fittings, and the threads were rough so I test threaded it in, and went too far
Any advice? I can provide pictures if need be

i used high temp black silicone from permatex, let it sit for couple days. it worked, best is to check out the surface inside make sure everytyhing is smooth and sand it if needed or you'll end up tearing it up again, they sell replacement diaphragm for 50 or 70 i can't remember

Thanks for the reply
I will try the high temp silicone. The only good thing I have going for this repair is that the wastegate is brand new (diaphragm and metal shell)

just be carefull.. a rip in diaphragm can cause overboost, and if you don't have boost cut via ecu you could have some major damage

well, I am willing to get a new diaphragm.. just been spending way too much $$ so maybe a month or so down the road
Where can I get info on buying one?
Would it help to have some pictures, both of the damage and the solution?

i guess any authorized dealer of tial.. try calling http://importparts.com/shop/ they might even have one in stock
i had mine rip twice, first time replaced it, second time i used that high temp silicone.. it worked but i didnt get to use it for long. maybe 10k miles at most
found some pics from couple years back.. surface all rough and i had to sand it to make it smooth including the hole for the fitting
