Like the tittle says...what turbo are u guys running? Hows the daily drivin characteristics? Any Lag issues? My car is going to daily driven about 3 or 4 times a week if that...so thats why i ask about the lag. Any info would help...

(right now I was lookin at the gt28r and rs (i know they wont make 400hp but may be a better turbo for daily driving) and the gt2871R, and some a t3/to4b 57 trim, sc61 and sc50...)

BTW: 1.8L GSR...

Hows the lag on the sc61?? and how much boost r u running?? I just dont want to be bored with my turbo setup cause im waitin for lagg ...I have gotten mixed reviews on the sc61, some say its lags like a **** and some say it isnt that bad...

according to precision...the sc34 has a max hp rating of 545. it's what's about to go on my b18b

from what ive read...garrett, precision, tend to over rate their turbos...never heard of anyone making 545hp with a sc34, but i may be wrong?

i've actually read a couple places on HT that precision tends to underrate their products...i don't remember where i read that though...i dont know anyone making 545 on an sc34 either. i'm just shooting for the 400 whp club.

It will take a ton of boost to hit those #'s. When I was running the sc34 at one time on my b16 it only put down about 330 on 18 psi. Same engine t3/t67 stg. 3 wheel .63 a/r made 404 on pump.

I think the gt28r will be a really nice turbo for the #'s you want. There's a ton of turbos that will put out the #'s your looking for. Good luck!

How do you figure? They say the SC61 is rated to 630 horsepower with the stage 5/T3 hot side, but it's been shown to be capable of that to the wheels. PT71 is rated to 880 HP but it's made 800+ to the ground. PT67 is said to be only 780 but it's made 750 to the ground. Etc.

Howard at ARFab made 400whp with an SC50 .48 A/R and a D16. I would imagine the SC34 would have no problem supporting quite a bit more than that.

I think the GT28RS could produce 400hp(maxed out), and be more than street friendly... Forget all that high hp drag racing nonsense and get an all around efficient turbo. GT2871 if the 28RS does not cut it I run a GT30R on my car and it is real street friendly because it builds boost fairly quickly, then again when I have to buy another turbo I will be downgrading to the GT2871, there is no need for the kind of power it produces unless you are out drag racing all the time.

I really like the SC34 it's a good big turbo, it spools alright and makes the power you want, it does lag a bit, but not as bad as the SC61.
