Default 300whp ZC?

Do you guys think it's possible to achieve 300whp on a properly built ZC? I have a 1G CRX, and the reason I ask is because my car is already ZC swapped. I do however have a LS block that I have been very tempted to put in and turbo that.

I'm no dummy, I realize the LS would be the better choice of the two, but if I don't have to rewire my car that would be good too.

Also would that much power be safe on either of those blocks without sleeving? I want to build the engine myself and can't afford to have it sent out and sleeved, so I'll be sticking with forged rods and pistons only.

I bought my turbo from a guy that was making 400whp on a ZC.

Holy **** 400 is alot! I would've never suspected a ZC could crank out that much. 300 is plenty for me, and probably still overkill. I was traction limited with just cams and a 55 shot.

I was reading in another thread about the gt28rs? Seems like that would put down around 300HP. Where can that turbo be bought and for about how much? Who makes a manifold for it and a d series?

i know you could achieve 300whp with the proper set up, but i'd go with the LS, just for more reliability (also less boost for lower octane gas). However, I may be wrong, double check with the turbo guru's on this one.

Wow, that guy Liams **** is awesome. That's definately pushing the envelope for a ZC I wonder if he was ever able to figure out his boost problem and get 30PSI on the race gas.

I would really like to go with the b18, but in order to do that I need a mount kit. For the price of the mount kit I could get internals for the ZC...
The one thing I would really like about running a b series is I could get a YS1 tranny from a 92-93 GSR and actually get some of the power to the ground.

I don't know if the b18 would be more reliable or not. It actually shares the same type of valvetrain as the ZC, and lacks the oil squirters of the VTEC b's. HP wise, they put out about the same stock for stock, and the extra TQ of the b18 isn't really going to matter once it goes turbo.

I am thinking the sleeves may be stronger in the b though?
