Default 3 Inch Aluminum V-Band Intercooler Flanges

Just wanted to let you guys know we just completed our 3 Inch Intercooler
O-Ringed V-Band Flanges. A good alternative to the super expensive Wiggens
clamps. These are CNC Made with a standard V-Band Clamp for all intercooler pipes..

More sizes are to come. They are $78.00 Shipped. Comes with both parts of flange,
O-Ring, And Clamp.. 3 inch pipe slides right into the flange and then just need to be welded.

Yes.. 2.5 is getting made Next ( within a month ) and will sell for around $5 Less.

Waiting on the Custom V-Band Clamps to come.. The 3 inch also uses a special clamp.

I swear to christ I had this idea a few months back. I was gonna lathe some grooves in a couple v-bands for the o-ring to lay in. Then I got to thinking how much more this setup is compared to my silicon/T-bolt setup. Never the less, product looks great!! I would expect nothing less from Z10.

verry cool, and the price is reasonable too!

one thing I might suggest is to make the 2.5" one with an aluminum v-band on one side, with a steel one on the other... it should bring the cost down a little, and most people that are running a 2.5" charge pipe are using mild steel pipes... that would make it so people dont have to replace all their charge pipe to use your vband.. you may sell more kits that way...

on the other hand, everyone will need 2 aluminum ones anyways... will it work using a standard steel vband on the other side? or will the o ring get in the way?

Wiggins clamps work alot different, you can have up to 5 degrees of misalignment with them and they will flex and seal up to that. These look just like v-band exhaust flanges and won't have any movement.

Yes you are correct. I would say have rubber by the TB or Turbo but these will be good on all other connections.

Yeah, this is a bad idea. For connections where you don't need any movement (where you would use these) you might as well just weld.

On the ends of the pipe, or wherever you determine you need movement, you want to use rubber hose.

Wiggins clamps, first of all work differently (have a movable rangee) and second of all are used on cars that don't have as much of a motor movement problem as a street car.

Like someone has already mentioned Siliconce grommets will be needed at the TB and/or turbo to compensate for flex if theses clamps are used. The only way to allow for some movement would be to use a thicker O-ring. Even with a thicker O-ring the ability to compensate for flex will be minimal.

Will there be a cheaper steel version? Will there be more sizes because I use 65mm(2.55") piping from the turbo to the IC and 70mm(2.75") from the IC to the TB?

A 3" stainles steel version with a high temp o-ring would be great for exhaust systems

Has anyone used these yet for connecting the intercooler pipes to the intercooler. So is it not recommend to use these at the throttle body to intercooler piping.

Anyone got more pics.

Is it 70+bux per side?
