3-ans big enough for oilcooled turbo?

3-ans big enough for oilcooled turbo?
sup guys,
car is smoking some at idle and while warming up. someone told me to go with an oil restrictor,to a 3-ans fitting. so i went from a (i think its a 1/8" hole) to a 3-ans oil restrictor feed fitting. is this going to be big enough to cool the turbo,since its oil cooled? is 3-ans what most oil cooled turbo people run?

It's not really "oil cooled", the oil just lubricates the bearings. The oil is pretty hot when it hits the turbo.
And yes, -3an will work fine. That's the size that pretty much everyone uses.

It is oil cooled. Thats why you have to leave you engine running after you drive your car. The oil carries the heat away from the turbo bearing so they dont "coke" up.

Ehh.... I guess in that respect you could say that it cools the turbo.
The oil cokes if it sits in the hot turbo for an extended period of time. But, I still don't think the oil really does any significant cooling at all. I'll have to read back through Maximum Boost I guess.
I never left my engine running after running my turbo hard. Of course, I had a water cooled turbo. When I rebuilt my turbo after a year of abuse and no cool down time, there were zero signs of coking. The bearings looked perfect.
Anyways, that doesn't really have to do with this thread I guess.
